Spondylosis

aka Degenerative Arthritis

Spondylosis, also known as osteoarthritis or degenerative arthritis, is a condition due to degeneration of spinal joints.  Spondylosis affects the mechanics of the joint and causes local pain in the early phases.  Pain is usually worse in the morning and often related to activity.  Advanced degeneration can cause problems with the nerve roots and even the spinal cord itself.
